Have You Joined The Tour of Love?
Have you, or anyone you know, heard these three words, “You have cancer?” I am sure you are saying to yourself, “Yes.” If you are one of the few lucky ones that have not, let me ask one more question. “Do you know someone who knows someone who has heard those words?”
The sad truth is too many if not all of you reading this are saying, “Yes.”
It has become almost accepted that our world is plagued by this six-letter word. WHY? Why, when we can actually do something about it!
“What the world needs now is love, sweet love. It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of…” These words are from a song written by Jackie DeShannon and released in 1965. The song says it all. There is not only power in love,
Now in November, it is all about LOVE. To be more specific the “Tour of LOVE.” What is the tour all about, and why am I encouraging you to join? Well, let me ask you one more question. Do you believe that we can collectively make a change in our world? I do!
Some have said that 2020 is the lost year. Do you believe that we have lost? I have not given up. Have you? There are those who say, “We must have faith.” I will tell you, “It is all about LOVE.”
“You can give without loving, but you can never love without giving.” ~ Robert Louis Stevenson
Gather like-minded people together who are willing to give their time to help others build and achieve, and all things are possible. Then combine drive, passion, purpose with imagination, a can-do attitude, and measurable outcomes. You have the “Tour of Love.”
The International “Tour of Love” is the primary fund-raising event for Chemo Buddies for Life, CB4L.org. What is CB4L.org, and why should you care?
Chemo Buddies for Life, known as CB4L.org, is a 501c3 nonprofit. It is the mission of CB4L.org to ease the suffering of isolation experienced by those facing cancer. CB4l.org believes in healing through connections within the buddies’ network. They believe that those facing cancer should have a buddy—the patient and those who love and support them. It is their stand that it doesn’t matter what treatment you choose, be it traditional, alternative, adjunctive; CB4L.org purpose is to see that no one faces cancer alone!
CB4L.org has built a community that has the “social proof” that the members are making a difference in the lives of many. CB4L.org understands that to have another person by your side is the greatest gift in this life to face your diagnoses with a “buddy;” a friend, that will make all the difference in the outcome. For those who participate, it can make the difference of not only the quality of their lives; it can make the difference in the length of it.
The CB4L.org Community has found ways to matter in this battle. Through a combination of “Healing Through Connections in a three-step method, with yourself, with buddies, and with community”, this 501c3 educates, inspires, matches people with buddies, and much more.
The time is now to take CB4L.org to the world! The World Health Organization Key Statistics are sobering, yet say it all. “The number of new cancer cases is on the rise globally. Deaths from cancer worldwide are projected to reach over 13 million in 2030.”
- Between 2008 and 2030, the number of new cancer cases is expected to increase more than 80% in low-income countries, which is double the rate expected in high-income countries (40%).
- It is projected that by 2030 between 10 – 11 million cancers will be diagnosed each year in low and middle-income countries.
- About a third of all cancer deaths could be prevented by modifying or avoiding key risk factors.
How do we prevent this pain, these deaths? We must get the information to those who most need it. We must band together to change the way that our world is dealing with this true health crisis.
The Tour of Love will be streaming LIVE for 36-hours throughout the world. Teaming with the e360tv platform and its affiliate channels with a reach of 80 million screens, CB4L.org is determined to see those statistic change! It can be done!
This 36-hours is a modern-day take on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon and will feature musical acts, comedy spots, and other entertaining and educational programming.
Who is ready to change the world with love? Are you?
We will be taking off November 30 at noon Pacific and journeying through 36 hours live to midnight December 1, 2020, on Giving Tuesday.
