Chemo Buddies 4Life
Healing Through Connections
Welcome to Chemo Buddies 4Life!
We support all cancers, all stages. We are building a strong “Buddies Network” that is healing through connections. We believe that those facing cancer should have a buddy; the patient and those who love and support them. Our stand is it doesn’t matter what treatment you choose, be it traditional, alternative, adjunctive; just do not do it alone!
Chemo Buddies 4Life is cancer support group and 501(c)3 organization. We provide support to cancer patients and those who care for them through our network of buddies. The Chemo Buddies solution is to end isolation during diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for individuals who have been affected by cancer through social outreach and wellness programs. We believe that no one should face cancer alone.

Tamara L. Hunter Becomes Global Impactor

On August 30, 2019, our President and Co-founder, Tamara L. Hunter, of Chemo Buddies for Life (CB4L), a 501c3 nonprofit was crowned as the, “First Global Next Impactor.” Why is that important to our nonprofit. Because of how this will help our organization to grow.
The Global Next Impactor is a competition that looks for people with impactful messages, missions, talents or professions to make a difference across the global. Nearly 200 people from all areas of the world entered the competition at beginning of 2019. On August 30, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois at the Stan Mansion, Tamara L. Hunter, was crowned the “First Global Next Impactor.”
Five years ago, on December 10, 2014, Tamara L. Hunter entered a chemotherapy room like so many others do daily. That day forever changed her life. It created a chain of events that now is affecting many throughout the United States and soon globally.
Diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Tamara is one of five people through four generations within one family line that has hear those three words, “You have cancer.” Her grandfather, mother, brother, daughter and herself. Tamara L. Hunter shared, “Too many are hearing those words and when they do, many have no where to turn. We are changing that here at Chemo Buddies for Life.”
On that first day of chemo she had an experience that has now launched a world-wide movement, “The Buddies Network.” The concept is simple, yet not easy. No one should face cancer alone, yet how do you accomplish it? By doing what no one else had done, create an online community devoted to serve those affected by cancer; the patient and those who love and support them.
Tamara continues, “Think of a matching site comes to cancer with a huge community component attached. A place where you can experience humor, hope and heart while learning practical skills, receiving mentorship and have access to information not always easily found. Our BETA site is nearly ready to be revealed.”
CB4L was registered as a nonprofit corporation in the state of California and has been recognized as a 501c3 by the US IRS as of November 2017. “We are proud of what we have been able to accomplish in a short period of time. After winning the Global Next Impactor Competition we now have the dream team of coaches and volunteers to take this inspired program to all who are feeling isolated and alone. I will not stop until all who hear those three words know the next thing, they should do is find a buddy for life,” Tamara L. Hunter.
We are currently working to finish building out the BETA site, raise funds and enroll buddies. We welcome anyone who knows we can do more for those affected by cancer to join our movement. We have the social proof, we have made a difference in lives, yet we have not touched everyone who needs us. That is why the time is now. We can do this with your help. Join us! Together we will change the way cancer is done, one buddy at a time.
